Sleepy morning on Pacific for both the people on board the Privateer from the time change and the wildlife.

It was warm and calm out at sea today and we were entertained with a pod of ~ 75 long beaked common dolphins.

On the afternoon trip we searched near and far and caught up with a pod of ~ 35 long beaked common dolphins exhibiting some hunt behaviour. They had a couple very small babies in tow among the pod.

Right when we turned to make our way back to Mission Bay a late to the party Southbound Gray whale popped up unexpectedly! This was a very large healthy adult and we got some good looks on both sides of the vessel.

With the weather so warm it felt out of character to see winter migrating animals but technically it is still winter.
