The second‑largest animal ON EARTH — a fin whale — spent nearly an hour cruising right beside our boat. Short dive times, just 3–4 minutes down and the same at the surface, kept it with us almost continuously. Every so often the clouds parted just right and we caught its brilliant white jaw glowing through the water.
And the dolphins… they stayed with us for most of the trip, but the real show was the baby parade. A full nursery pod with tons of tiny calves — some so new they were launching out of the water in the clumsiest, most adorable way. A few even rotated their tails a full 360 degrees mid‑jump, doing accidental backflips.
Can’t wait to see what the next trip brings.
