We had a fun group out from Montana! We enjoyed nice sea conditions and cruised out to the NW toward La Jolla! We spotted our first signs of wildlife at the drop-off. There were splashes popping up all around us and were excited to catch up with some Offshore bottlenose dolphins! They were racing fast to the north! Some of them raced over to us to ride the bow and surf our wake. We continued up the coast and found even more bottlenose dolphins cruising round. Our last and final pod was the best! It was a very condensed group of ~30 that were coming up all at once, taking some deep breaths and going down for dives! To top it off there were a few cow/calf pairs, with one of the calves being very new to the world! It kept peeking out of the water to take a look at its very excited audience! We turned home and enjoyed the sights all around us! We spotted several hundred Elegant terns cruising north and a couple of Mola molas along our journey too!

We have one more trip to go! We will update you soon!
