Holy mola we covers a lot of water today.
Out beyond the drop-off we saw an enormous spout on the horizon and spent a good amount of time searching for the source of said spout.
Right when we thought all hope was lost, a mighty fin was spotted 3 miles from where the spout was seen!
It was definitely in travel mode and covering some distance trending towards the north at a pace of over 7 knots.
We did get some solid looks at it including its bright white right-side jaw.
We also lucked out with a rare bird sighting of a cocos booby!
We don’t have a sunset trip today but we’ll be back out tomorrow with seats available for some summer fun.
