Some nights on the water look like something out of a daydream, and tonight was one of those nights. Miss Pacific was feeling a bit feral, with a 3–4 ft swell and a steady 11 knots of wind, with gusts up to 16. We were getting waves of water splashing all the way up to the top deck. We’re adventuring out into THE WILD — it’s not always easy, but it’s ALWAYS worth the work!
We made it all the way out to the 9‑mile bank and found some heavily suspicious whitecaps that turned out to be a VERY lively pod of short‑beaked common dolphins — NEARLY 300 of them!
We watched as these little torpedoes tore through the glistening golden sunset light and LAUNCHED fully out of the water!
