The Privateer left land this morning in search of some much needed “A/Sea” to cool off and enjoy the water. The day brought us not one dolphin species but a mixed pod of common dolphins and Pacific white-sided dolphins! I have personally never seen these two species hanging out together although both are known to get gregarious with other species of dolphin.
We were treated on the way home to an epic aerial battle between a Cocos booby bird and flying fish! It was exciting as the booby passed close to the boat and passengers ooh’ed and ahh’ed. She never caught one that we saw, but it was a sky fight for the books!
