COVID-19 Support

We have made the following changes to our operations in order to protect you, your family, and our employees amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

2021 COVID-19 Update

Hello All!

We know there have been many questions and concerns regarding COVID-19 in light of newly issued shut down orders. San Diego Whale Watch is pleased to continue offering dolphin and whale watching excursions during this time, we will be implementing some additional measures to ensure complete compliance.

Masks are required for all passengers, regardless of vaccination status, during boarding as well as anytime you are inside on our vessels.

We look forward to having you as our guest. We’re in this together.

Frequent Sanitizing

We are limiting the amount of trips we have per day to have more time to thoroughly sanitize the boat between trips.

Masks

All customers will be required to wear mask during our checkin/boarding process. Customers who are vaccinated are allowed to remove their masks once aboard the boat.

Here is some more detailed information about the changes we have made to each step of your journey with San Diego Whale Watch:

Ticketing and Boarding

  • There are 6′ sticker indicators by our ticketbooth, lineup area & docks for customers to indicate proper distancing.

  • We have installed plexiglass at our ticket booth

  • We sanitize card readers and pin pads between every transaction

  • We are encouraging touchless payments such as Apple Pay

Aboard the Privateer

  • Fully vaccinated passengers are welcome to remove their masks once on the boat

  • Increasing the frequency and focus of our cleaning procedures

  • Elevating the cleaning and sanitizing frequencies of high touch areas (such as handrails and door knobs) and other surfaces.

  • Only fully vaccinated crew will be working without masks.

We have taken these precautionary steps to be sure we provide the safest environment we can and will continue to rely on recommendations from the CDC and the WHO recommendations and expertise to inform our decisions.

With all our efforts, and support of our workforce, we feel confident that we are doing all we can to provide a safe experience for you. Again, we want all our guests to feel comfortable and confident while exploring with San Diego Whale Watch.
