Another beautiful morning whale watching! We had fantastic ocean conditions, sunny skies, 500 common dolphin, and a southbound Gray Whale.

Wowie! We had an awesome Sunset whale watch! We had our first encounter at the end of the Mission bay jetties! There were a couple Inshore bottlenose dolphins cruising at the bow! We cruised up the coast and enjoyed the views! We got to La Jolla and hung out with a pair of Northbound Gray whales! They were moving fast at about 6-7mph! We observed 4-5 breaths followed by 3-5 min dive times! It was amazing to see them with La Jolla in the background! We left them behind and continued out to the west. A sneaky Minke whale popped up nearby but we never saw it again. We cruised to the SW and began our turn in when Captain Michael sighted dolphins to the north! We couldn’t have been more excited to witness a beautiful sunset with dolphins playing in the smooth glassy seas! It was pure magic! There were about 300 Long-beaked Common dolphins racing out west! We got great looks as they surfed in our wake and rode the bow!
