We’re back! After a few days off the water for weather, we finally got out there today — and the ocean delivered.

This afternoon was strictly a dolphin party. We had a pod of long‑beaked common dolphins pretty close to shore, and an awesome pod of short‑beaked commons a little farther out. These shorties were POPPIN’ OFF — like popcorn in a hot pan. Launching straight into the sky again and again, not just one at a time but 5–10 dolphins exploding out of the water together.

This evening we caught up with a speedy fin whale cruising north along the drop‑off in about 800 feet of water. A total change‑up from the feeding behavior we’ve been seeing lately, but that’s the ocean for you — every time a storm rolls through, the whole pulse of the place shifts.

We’re back out here tomorrow.

The question is — will you be?
