Morning Tour

Monday evening we headed southwest out to the drop-off to where the bird were heading. They lead us to the splashiest, densest pod of ~400 short-beaked common dolphins! Riding our bow, tail walking, leaping 15 ft in the air, doing what short-beaks do best. We headed further west, in a depth of 2000 ft of water and 12 miles from Mission bay and found a second bod of over ~200 short-beaked common dolphins! They were showing off!! Almost in competition with each other for biggest leaps.

So much fun to watch.
