We always want to show our guests as much diversity of life as possible. So today we pointed west this morning and came up with a very cute fin whale! It had a lot of what looked like cookie cutter shark bite scars. This is quite interesting because researchers have not pinpointed fin whale breeding grounds but maybe some place warm with lots of those small sharks. We had a long travel back to the dock that was interrupted by a pod of about 30 bottlenose dolphins! One curious calf kept bow riding before being scooped back to the pod by its (presumed) mother only to dart off again to play with the Privateer!
I love being a big bath toy for dolphins 🐬
