The last two trips of the day were magical with two big beautiful humpbacks gracing the eyes of visitors from around the work. These whales were traveling southbound, side by side from when we first found them at about 2:00 PM to when we left them on our sunset tour at about 6:00 PM. Humpbacks are typically solitary when traveling but have been known to travel with a friend! Even though we don’t know the relationship these whales had, we got great looks at their tails, rain-blows and kelping behavior!

I hope we see more big, migrating humpbacks in the coming weeks!
