Kickin’ off the holiday weekend with a Minke Missile sighting!
Minkes may be small, but wow are they mighty. When they get the zoomies and launch out of the water, they look like torpedoes — and that’s exactly what tipped us off to our first minke’s location. We got some great looks as it moseyed around the area, giving everyone those classic quick‑pop minke moments.

Then word came in about a fin whale way offshore, so we pointed the bow toward the horizon — and on the way, crossed paths with another minke whale! Double minke luck for our afternoon passengers.

After racing miles out, we caught up with the enormous fin whale, giving everyone a chance to appreciate just how massive and graceful the second‑largest animal on Earth can be. On our afternoon trip, we had just enough time to run back out to the ENORMOUS fin whale and get some solid looks but – the best part? 200 short beaked common dolphins hanging out in the same victim!
Holiday weekend = officially launched.
