The crew and passengers alike were very happy to get off the dock and get some cool sea breeze on this exceptionally hot and humid Tuesday evening.
It was still and on the verge of glassy as we made our way to the deeper water where the most magnificent pod of ~30 Risso’s dolphins appeared! They were the best and certainly a crew favourite.
We enjoyed watching them chasing food, lazily porpoising, while others showed off with huge breaches.
There was a single calf in the pod, but mum was being a little shy so we gave them plenty of room.
With a fog-bank to the south I was unsure how the sunset would be but we got golden red with a green flash.
Just perfect.
