We left Mission bay and cruised out to the north and hung out in La Jolla! Along the way, we got lucky views at some breaching sharks, and a couple flying fish! Thank you to our other whale watch friends for calling us and letting us know there was whale sighting! We got to the last known coordinates and sure enough we spotted the juvenile Humpback hanging out at the surface. It went down for a couple sounding dives that lasted only a few minutes! We were lucky to see it come toward us and mug us! We even got a whiff of its stinky breath! Not too far off we noticed a bunch of splashy dolphins! They were breaching non-stop! We said goodbye to our whale friend and hung out with our new dolphfriends! They were so fun breaching sometimes 15-ft high! There were plenty of cow/calf pairs in the mix! We even spotted a Coco’s booby a couple times too!!

We hope you’ll join us for a trip soon!

Vanessa
