For the morning trip, we cruised down to the SW and spotted a pod of ~150 Long-beaked Common dolphins that were hanging out off Point Loma! We continued out and hung out with an amazing pod of ~500 Short-beaked Common dolphins! There were so many cow/calf pairs in mix that brought a smile to all of our faces!

On our afternoon trip, we set out to the south, hugged the coast and took in the sights! We ventured out to the west and got to the 9-mile bank! We spotted some splashes out west and came across a pod of ~50 Long-beaked Common dolphins that were being a bit stealthy but we did see a couple showstoppers! One dolphin breached numerous times greeting us! We spotted a teeny-tiny Common dolphin in the mix! There was also a dolphin that had a split dorsal fin!

We have one more trip to go…we will keep you posted!
