Nothing beats a trip where we have TIME to hang out with wildlife. Today we had nothing but time. Morning reports of humpback whales a mere 7 miles from shore made this a no-brainer. We started west and were quickly treated to a common dolphin drive by as they hunted about a quarter mile from Mission Bay!  A mola mola scooted by as we continued our westbound journey. Luckily, another whale watching boat was able to stay with the humpbacks. And we were grateful! The passengers on the Inspiration were treated to close looks, peduncle throws and a breach! We enjoyed another herd of common dolphins as the sun broke out on our way back in!

Until next time!
