I can’t get enough of the exceptionally calm seas we’ve had today as we made our way out for the afternoon trip.

We first encountered a small pod of ~40 long-beaked common dolphins cruising by to ride our wake before we made our way out to deeper water.

Right on the edge of the drop-off, a tight-knit pod of ~100 short-beaked common dolphins were racing towards the north, and we got to enjoy the dolphins porpoising around and jumping repeatedly 15ft in the air.

It’s always a good day to see both subspecies of common dolphins.

We’re crossing our fingers for a sunset as tranquil as yesterday, complete with pastel skies and maybe a little dolphin and whale magic.
