We started the second half of October with the one and only, Eastern Tropical Pacific killer whales! We got a report they were feeding on a FIN WHALE (which was already gone by the time we got there) and they continued to dive and feed on the carcass, bringing up small chunks piece by piece. We had a ton of “newbie” whale watchers onboard and their squeals of joy and excitement still make me happy after all these years. For some, it was their first time on the ocean let alone seeing a killer whale in the wild!

Maybe the ETP’s will stick to their pattern and hang around the area for a few hours or even days! They travel up to 100 miles in 24 hours so come marvel at the ocean’s top predator while they are here!
