We had beautiful conditions today as we set out north along the gray whale highway. Up around La Jolla we spotted a tall spout to the north west of us beyond the horizon and went for it! It spouted four times before disappearing. Unfortunately we never saw it again… Instead, we found couple concentrated pods of long-beaked common dolphins and travelled with them to the south before making our way back to dock.
