We encountered ~300 Long-beaked Common dolphins and a single Gray whale on the morning tour! The Common dolphins were cruising down to the south, but we got great looks as they came up to the boat! The Gray whale was observed down to the south, outside of Point Loma! On our sunset cruise, encountered two big pods of Long-beaked Common dolphins, ~500 in total! They were incredible as they raced up the coast. They were very spread out, but many bow-rode the boat and surfed in our wake. We sighted a stealthy Gray whale, but only got looks at the spouts. The conditions were beautiful, with the sunset being the cherry on top!
