We are starting our week off with a Hump-day! We set out to the northwest out near the drop-off and encountered a huge pod of ~250 Long-beaked Common dolphins and 1 Humpback whale! The dolphins were very surface active and were seen feeding around a couple of bait balls. Little calves were leaping out of the water next to their moms. We enjoyed watching the Humpback surface for 2 to 3 breaths. Almost every time it lifted its tail as it went down for a dive. We sighted more Common dolphins to the NW. Overall, a beautiful day on the water!
