What a fin-filled day packed with baleen and toothed whales! We set out to the west and sight spouts only a few miles out! We encountered 6 Blue whales nearby and a couple more spouts in the distance! We had blue and sunny skies which made the Blue Glow so vibrant! We had a two pairs of Blue whales that were circling around us along the drop-off. We even observed Blue whale poop, meaning they were actively feeding out there! While watching them we noticed ~20 Offshore bottlenose dolphins racing to the SW. We managed to get some close up looks as they passed us! We were lucky enough to see the Blue whale’s tail lifted as it went for its sounding dive! Overall, it was an awesome day!
