Talk about Blue GLOW!!!!!!!
We had a wonderful time out on the pacific today! Our fist trip had us biting our nails and fearful we may not find anything out there but we managed to find a Blue wDSC2275 | San Diego Whale Watch 1 DSC2375 | San Diego Whale Watch 3 DSC2421 | San Diego Whale Watch 5 DSC2442 | San Diego Whale Watch 7 DSC2460 | San Diego Whale Watch 9hale off the point of la Jolla in the nick of time!
When we headed back out for the second trip we had a bit more of an idea where to start looking for whales and we found a friendly!
This whale was lazily hanging out at the surface and staying up for a really long time! It even popped up super close to our boat! We suspect it had been feeding in the area – we found the Krill poo evidence in the oceans surface! It feels like we’ve officially begun our summer here in San Diego! Blue skies, the bluest water i’ve seen (outside of Hawaii) and enormous blue whale giving off their vibrant sapphire blue glow! It’s a sight to be seen!
We also encountered a last minute surprise pod of long beaked common dolphins! They were blasting north up the coastline but – as always – they made some time to slow down and play with our boat. The laugher and shriek’s of joy from everyone onboard are INFECTIOUS!
