We’re starting the week off with the fun type of Monday blues! Sea conditions were beautiful today! The sun was shining on the Pacific Ocean all afternoon. The ocean was so bright and blue. We also had great visibility. Today, we saw two pods of common dolphins. The first pod of ~75 short-beaked common dolphins were sighted near the drop-off. We saw many cow and calf pairs! They were also being very active and leaping out of the water. Then, we headed up north alongside the drop- off close to La Jolla. We sighted another pod of ~300 long-beaked common dolphins on our way back to Mission Bay. They were bow-riding and surfing our wake. We also saw 2 mola-molas during our trip. It is always an enjoyable time on the water and we hope to see you onboard the Privateer soon.

Melissa
