We hung out with a huge pod of ~400 Short-beaked Common dolphins this morning! We left the jetties and got to the drop-off and noticed down to the south some splashes. Initially, we thought there were about 200 dolphins but the more time we spent with them, we realized the pod spanned about 1-mile long. They were seen traveling slowly with the waves to the SE. We enjoyed watching some breachers and wake surfers! There were a few brave cow/calf pairs that cruised beside our boat! Along the way, we encountered a small, dinner-plate sized Mola mola and 5 more large 5-footers! These Mola mola seemed to be dark gray on top with white speckles across the top of its body. The seas were a little bumpy but kept things interesting and fun!

Sea you on the next one!
