The ocean was full of cetaceans today! On our morning trip, we headed up north towards La Jolla canyon we saw sporadic pods of ~400 Long-Beaked Common dolphins, and ~35 Pacific White Sided dolphins. We also saw one Humpback whale. On our afternoon trip, we saw more Long-Beaked Common dolphins and Pacific White Sided dolphins, we also one Grey whale. Our sunset trip was absolutely beautiful, we headed up north back towards La Jolla and encountered scattered pods of ~50 Pacific White Sided dolphins, and ~100 Long-beaked common dolphins. We also the same Grey whale hanging out outside of the Kelp forest. Looking forward to seeing more cetaceans this holiday weekend.
