We started the day with a bang! We caught up with a single southbound Gray whale, ~15 Pacific white-sided dolphins, and 3 Inshore bottlenose dolphins! As soon as we left the jetties, a spout was sighted outside of Mission Beach! We watched it slowly cruise to the south only about a mile from shore. We got great looks at the beautiful heart-shaped spout! The pod of Pacific white-sided dolphins were so active, energetic and playful! We oohed and ahhhed throughout the entire encounter! On our way in we sighted a trio of 3 Inshore bottlenose dolphins surfing the waves! During our sunset trip we went up to La Jolla cove and back. We had the best sea conditions and amazing views all around. The sunset was stunning!
We are offline for a couple of days due to some big 10-ft swells so we hope to see you on Tuesday for our next trip!
