Do you have a bad case of the Monday’s blues today? Whale, let’s fix that with some brilliant BLUE WHALES! We scored again today! Our trip started off with a handful of long-beaked common dolphins just outside of Mission Beach jetty. A few miles later we encountered another pod of ~50 long-beaked common dolphins. Around 6.5 miles offshore, just past the drop-off, we sighted a spout from a brilliantly blue whale. Soon enough, we were completely surrounded by at least 10 blue whales in the general area. We got great close up looks and hung out with 5 out of the 10 blue whales. We also saw 2 Mola-molas and hundreds of Velella-velellas throughout our trip. There is no better remedy than playing hooky with 5 Blue whales to fix even the worst case of Monday BLUE’s. Please come out and have some fun with us on the Privateer!
