Sunny skies, clear blue water and dolphriends! What more can you ask for? ๐ Today, we quickly encountered a great pod of ~150 long-beaked common dolphins located pretty much straight outside of the jetties about ~1 mile offshore! Then, we headed out southwest and encountered a great pod of ~ 200 long-beaked common dolphins located on the eastern edge of the 9-mile bank in about ~1200 ft of water! They were cruising along the boat and we saw so many calves and juveniles! We have one more trip coming up so please stay tuned!
Our sunset trip was absolutely BREATHTAKING and ACTION-PACKED!! We quickly encountered a pod of ~100 long-beaked common dolphins! This pod of LB common dolphins turned into 3 massive pods! There must have been at least ~450 long-beaks in the general area! Then, we travelled out southwest! At our furthest point, we were about ~12 miles offshore! We found an incredibly MASSIVE pod of ~150 offshore bottlenose dolphins! It was so magical to see them leaping out of the water right in front of the sunset. We love seeing offshore bottlenose dolphins because they are so large in size and majestic! We have more fun coming up tomorrow so please stay tuned!
