We were rocking and rolling is some big swell today, both Captain Bryan and Captain John did a superb job of navigating safely and expertly in the energetic seas.
We had an exceptionally quiet afternoon trip on the ocean but our beautiful sunset trip started off excitingly with 4 coastal bottlenose dolphins surfing inside the jetties.
We slowly made our way to the north west and unexpectedly a small pod of ~50 long beaked common dolphins popped up on our starboard bow.
After the pod decided the no longer wanted to play, and something we kindly respected, we headed to the southwest to find another pod of ~100 long beaked common dolphins. This pod was clearly enjoying the big swell zagging and zigging in the waves. You can see why they earned the name, the original surfers!
We have no trips tomorrow but would love for you to join us Thursday to get your weekend started early!
