I used to believe that these magical conditions during our fall months were nothing more than a myth – This year is changing that. The whales are ABUNDANT but what’s also been so incredible is the ocean conditions, the swell has been minimal, the Santa Ana’s have been cancelling out the sea breeze, we’ve in turn been left with glassy seas, incredible visibility, warm weather and STUNNING sunsets. Today we had two southbound humpback whales and an incredible pod of ~150 long beaked common dolphins. These whales were lazing their way south so we were ale to observe the same pair on both trips.
Truely, it is THE time to get out on the water. The whale faucet is on blast right now and we have NO IDEA when it’s going to turn off.( It’s nature, not a program)
