What’s a whale’s favorite candy? – Blubber gum! Our trip started with a few inshore bottlenose dolphins within the jetties! We went out to the drop-off and found so many dolphriends and multiple whales! We first saw a few leaps from offshore Bottlenose dolphins! The pod consisted of at least ~75 offshore bottlenose dolphins! They were being super active and leaping out of the water! Then, we saw a spout from a gray whale!! We hung out the gray whale for multiple breath cycles and then saw an another spout from a humpback!! We eventually caught up with some more offshore bottlenose dolphins and found two more gray whales!! They were swimming side-by side and going down for short social dives. We saw another single spout off in the distance from another gray whale for a total of three gray whales, one humpback and ~75 bottlenose dolphins! We can’t wait to sea more whales on this sunset trip! Please stay tuned!

We had TWO Hungry Hungry Humpbacks and ONE not so Hungry Gray whale! We observed an amazing feeding frenzy with hundreds of Long-beaked Common dolphins! We were lucky to see both Humpbacks lunge-feeding in the large bait balls of anchovies! The Commons were everywhere!
