Rounding out a weekend of full trips sharing the ocean with our wonderful passengers we navigated to the north west chasing elegant terns diving into the salty seas. It was quiet on La Jolla canyon where wildlife had been hanging out earlier in the day. Changing course we headed due south and happened across a graceful and agile pod of ~30-40 bottlenose dolphins! They showed us their strength and size with some enormous leaps. One dolphin was pushing around a piece of cardboard with its beak, a stark reminder to dispose of rubbish properly so it doesn’t end up in the ocean!
My favourite part of the trip might have been the tiniest newborn baby bottlenose swimming next to its Mum, always a treat to see.
As summer ramps up we have whale watching trips everyday! Come have some fun with us!
