Do you ever wonder why dolphins go up & down when they swim? I’m not sure why either, but they do it on porpoise! (Jk they do it to breath) On today’s afternoon and sunset trip, we found soooo many dolphins! On our afternoon trip, we found two pods of long-beaked common dolphins. We encountered ~100 LB common dolphins located near the drop-off and then another pod of ~50 long-beaks located north west near La Jolla. On today’s sunset trip, we found even more dolphins!! At least over ~1000+ long-beaks were found during today’s sunset trip!! We sighted multiple feeding frenzies with LB common dolphins, California sea lions and massive bird piles of California brown pelicans, western gulls & black-vented shearwaters. There must have been an abundance of food in the area attracting all of these predators. We also saw a rainbow cloud and a gorgeous sunset this evening. We have some more ocean fun coming up this week, so please join us on the Ohana soon! 🙂
