Sunset and whales – WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR? Not much.
We set to the north in hopes to encounter some action we’d heard about earlier in the day. We didn’t see a wild feeding frenzy but we did encounter tons of shearwaters and a very zig zaggy whale! This was the same humpback that had been sighted earlier in the day – but it was done feeding and seemed to be swimming in a figure eight pattern – never coming up where we’d expect. Luckily, it had short dive times and we were able to observe this whale for over an hour as the sun met the horizon line.
