We had a fun foggy sunset trip today! We set out of Mission bay and could see a huge fog bank coming in! We watched it coming from the SW so we went to the NW and followed a nice pocket of good visibility. We had smooth seas out to almost 10-miles from shore! We spotted some birds and splashes to the SW right at the edge of the thick fog bank! We ventured through the fog and found shearwaters, California Brown Pelicans, gulls and a big pod of ~100 Short-beaked Common dolphins! They were popping up all around us! We got great looks at them on the bow and in our wake! We loved to see them breach and porpoise nearby! We began our trip back home when the sky began to glow with a rainbow of colors! Then the fog took us over and it got super chilly and dark! We sipped on hot cocoa and spiced apple cider to keep us warm!

We hope you’ll join us for a trip soon! Dress warm! It’s been getting pretty chilly out!
