We had a Whale of time on the morning trip! We had a triple whammy with sightings! We hung out with a juvenile Humpback, two Fin whales, and a pod of ~20 Long-beaked Common dolphins!
We cruised down to the south and enjoyed the smooth ride! We were so excited to see a spout from the Humpback whale first! It was slowly circling the area and even came over a couple of times to say hello! It crossed our bow within 20-ft of our boat! It got a little perky mid trip when it threw its tail! Within the same area, a couple of Fin whales surfaced and at first were seen apart, but then after spending time with them, they synched up and began hanging with each other! There seemed to be an abundance of krill in the area, so they were likely feeding down below. We were super lucky and the two Fin whales cruised right by our boat again within 20-ft! Nearby a small pod of ~20 Long-beaked Common dolphins popped up but passed us by.
The wildlife is so amazing right now, please come out soon!
