It started slow, but the ocean was clearly saving the best for last — because everything came together for an epic sunset.
On our first trip we spotted around 75 common dolphins, but the real stars were a raft of sea lions! More than twenty of them cruising together, looking like a pod of very confused (and very enthusiastic) dolphins. ![]()

This afternoon we sighted a Gray whale heading north — our first northbound Gray of the season! And then came our favorite last‑minute surprise: Pacific white‑sided dolphins putting on a full hunting display, leaping out of the water and giving us incredible views. ![]()

But sunset… sunset HIT DIFFERENT.
It’s been too long since we’ve seen a true feeding frenzy with everything packed into one wild hotspot.
We got a call that pulled us off our original course — and thank goodness we listened. Far offshore we found a frenzy of 300 common dolphins and THREE MASSIVE feeding humpback whales! One whale came within 20 feet of the vessel, right at the bow — the whole boat erupted in shrieks of joy. Pure magic.
On our way in, we watched the sun melt into the horizon, leaving behind a small but brilliant green flash, followed by a STUNNING full Snow Moon rising over the hills. ![]()

We’ve got humpbacks, Grays, dolphins everywhere, and whispers of springtime drifting in on the Pacific breeze.
It’s been unbelievable out here — nonstop action! Come experience the magic for yourself. ![]()
