It was a super fun, rock and rollin’ kind of day! We started our trip off with a small pod of ~40 Common dolphin. Upon approach, they were seen surfing in the big waves! Guests had fun watching them surfing in our wake and at the bow. Many porpoised out of the water and zoomed over to us. At one point, we were completely surrounded. We continued out to the West, hoping for calmer conditions in deeper water. We found another larger, spread-out pod of ~60 Common dolphins. They too were enjoying the nautical, wave action! At that point, we decided to turn around, as the sea conditions were not settling. As we were headed back in, we sighted Common dolphin stampeding toward the West! No baleen whales were seen on our trip, but we are crossing our fingers for Thursday! We are offline tomorrow (Wednesday). Hope to see you then!
