Today, we had some nice sea conditions with great visibility! During the morning trip, we set out to the southwest and sighted Common dolphins everywhere we went! We made it close to 8-miles from shore and sighted several bait balls with birds and dolphins feeding on the small-schooling fish. During our afternoon tour, we went straight out to the west, and 9-miles from shore we found ~300 Long-beaked Common dolphins! They too were scattered all around. We observed many cow/calf pairs in the mix. A couple inshore bottlenose dolphins greeted us at the jetties on our way in.
