We had two trips today in great conditions. This afternoon we found 3 baleen species! We first encountered a northbound pair of cow/calf gray whales and spotted a third just a bit west of them. We then went out to the drop off where we found a minke whale that I first saw through the binoculars pop up upside-down in a sort of half breach. While looking at the minke we spotted a fin whale! On our sunset trip we found a minke whale and at least 6 Mola molas feeding on Velella velellas. On both trips we had inshore bottlenose dolphins at the jetties.
