We had another wonderful trip this afternoon! Blue whales have returned to town to feast of our supply of krill! We headed southwest from the jetties about 9 miles off shore and found an aggregation of blue whales! We saw 3 up close! One even surfaced 20 feet off our bow when we were parked in neutral waiting for them to surface again! It’s always an unforgettable experience when the largest animal on earth comes so close you can feel the rattle of their exhale in the air!

Blue whales only pop in for a short summer vacation each year, so get out here while the getting is good! We’ll see you soon!
