Embark on a Fin Whale Watching San Diego Experience!

We had a FIN-Tastic whale watching trip this afternoon! We set out to the west toward deeper water. Along the way, it was pretty quiet, including nice and calm seas. We reached about 10-miles from shore and were in about 2000-ft of water! We switched it up and began to travel to the SW toward the 9-mile bank. Captain Bryan brought his eagle eyes with him and sighted a spout to the south of us! We were so lucky and found a single Fin whale! It was circling around one area, likely feeding! There were some Cassin’s auklets seen diving nearby and they like to feed on krill. So we were thinking maybe there was some good krill patches down below. The ride home was nice and smooth!
