Happy Veteran’s Day! Thank you for your service!

We had an awesome day on the water! We set out to deeper water on the morning trip and sighted a huge pod of ~300 Long-beaked Common dolphins! They were amazing as they surrounded our boat! We became one for the pod! They surfed our wake and bow-rode the bow of the Ohana! There were plenty of cow/calf pairs to be seen in porpoising alongside the boat. They were traveling to the north along the drop-off. We got out to 9-miles from shore and enjoyed the views on our way back in. During the afternoon trip, we set out to the west and once we got to the drop-off we went south. We decided to go toward the 9-mile bank and that was a good decision because a Fin whale with a huge spout popped up right next to us! We watched it surface for about 10 breaths and we turned back in. Along the way home, we sighted a pod of ~100 Long-beaked Common dolphins cruising toward us. We got great looks as they were all around our boat!

We look forward to tomorrow’s trips! Sea ya there!
