Witness a rare sight! We saw a gray whale feeding in Mission Bay
We had an incredible trip today full of wildlife! Right off the bat we encountered a gray whale feeding in mission bay. We could even see the mud plumes it was leaving on the surface from feeding along the bottom! Once we headed out into the ocean we first found a feeding frenzy of birds and a few long-beaked common dolphins. We then ventured out to the southwest and right on the edge of the 9 mile bank we had a fin whale pop up just a couple hundred yards off our port bow! We got great looks at this massive whale as it was presumably feeding in the area. On our way back home we found two different pods of hundreds of long-beaked common dolphins. Spring had sprung and lately we’ve been seeing multiple baleen species, so come on out! Book your Next Sighting.
