Sunday FINday on the Privateer! Our Pacific Ocean is so abundant with wildlife! We had beautiful blue skies, blue water and the best of all BLUE WHALES all day today! During our morning trip we first encountered a Gray whale in Mission Bay on our way out of the jetties. Then, we encountered a pod of ~75 long-beaked common dolphins. We also found 2 Blue whales and 2 Fin whales throughout the trip. We also found a mystery spout towards the end within 3 miles from shore.
During our afternoon trip, the Gray whale was still hanging out in Mission Bay. We also found another pod of ~50 long-beaked common dolphins and then quickly encountered a pair of Blue whales! Then, we travelled past the drop-off and encountered a more Blue whales about ~7 found throughout the trip. We even got mugged at the very end! Always a fun time on the water!
