It was a beautiful, sunny day on the Pacific! We had some great, calm sea conditions as well! We had a nice trip out to deeper water. We encountered many California sea lions, and two sightings of Northern Elephant seals! One was sighted near the drop-off, and the other was a few miles beyond it. We got to the 9-mile bank, where the water depth transitioned from 1400-ft to 400-ft! We tried to head North, but ran into some Naval ship traffic. We continued to the coast and traveled near the kelp line, in about 50-ft of water. No baleen or toothed whales were sighted today, but we will be out tomorrow morning keeping our eyes on the horizon! Hope to see you on our next trip!
